IoThin
IoThin is a lightweight Internet of Things (IoT) software framework designed for resource-constrained devices to enable secure, scalable communication with edge gateways and cloud services. It supports device-to-cloud and device-to-device messaging, remote management, and a modular runtime that can operate on microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms.
The architecture centers on a small core runtime with protocol adapters for MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP, a
IoThin originated with the IoThin Consortium in 2019 and was released as an open-source project in 2020.
In practice, IoThin is used in smart building automation, agricultural sensing networks, and industrial monitoring projects
