Interpolasyonok

Interpolasyonok is a term in mathematics referring to methods used to estimate unknown values that lie between known data points. When presented with a set of discrete data points, interpolation aims to construct a continuous function that passes through all of these points. This constructed function can then be used to predict values at intermediate points that were not originally measured.

The simplest form of interpolation is linear interpolation. In this method, two known data points are connected by a straight line, and any value between them is estimated by finding the corresponding point on that line. More complex methods include polynomial interpolation, where a polynomial function is fitted to the data. Lagrange interpolation and Newton's divided differences are common techniques for constructing such polynomials. Spline interpolation is another powerful technique that uses piecewise polynomial functions to achieve smoother interpolations, especially when dealing with a large number of data points.

Interpolation has wide-ranging applications in various fields. In computer graphics, it is used for creating smooth curves and surfaces from a set of control points. In scientific research, it helps in estimating missing data points or in creating more detailed representations of experimental results. In engineering, interpolation is used in areas like signal processing and control systems to approximate continuous functions from sampled data.
