Inkjettulostimet, also known as inkjet printers, are a type of printer that uses small droplets of ink to print on paper. They are widely used in both home and office environments due to their affordability, versatility, and ease of use. The inkjet printing process involves a printhead that moves across the paper, depositing ink droplets in precise patterns to form images or text.

There are two main types of inkjet printers: continuous inkjet and drop-on-demand. Continuous inkjet printers use a steady stream of ink, while drop-on-demand printers only release ink when a print command is given. Drop-on-demand printers are further divided into thermal and piezoelectric types. Thermal printers use heat to create bubbles that push ink out, while piezoelectric printers use electrical charges to vibrate a crystal and expel ink.

Inkjet printers use either black ink or a combination of cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) inks to produce a wide range of colors. The ink is stored in cartridges that need to be replaced periodically. The quality of inkjet prints can vary depending on the type of paper used and the settings chosen during printing.

Inkjet printers are known for their ability to produce high-quality text and graphics, making them suitable for a variety of applications, including photo printing, document printing, and signage. They are also relatively quiet and have a low environmental impact compared to laser printers, as they do not require toner and produce less waste. However, they may have slower print speeds and lower print resolution compared to laser printers.
