Információvédelem
Információvédelem, often translated as information security or data protection, refers to the practice of safeguarding information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, disruption, or destruction. It encompasses the policies, procedures, and technical controls implemented to protect sensitive data, systems, and networks. The primary goal of információvédelem is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information, commonly known as the CIA triad. Confidentiality means preventing unauthorized disclosure of information. Integrity ensures that information is accurate and complete, and that it has not been tampered with. Availability means that authorized users can access information and systems when they need them. Információvédelem is crucial in today's digital age, where vast amounts of data are generated, stored, and transmitted electronically. It applies to individuals, organizations, and governments alike. Common threats to information security include cyberattacks, malware, phishing, insider threats, and accidental data loss. Effective információvédelem strategies involve risk assessment, security awareness training for personnel, implementing strong authentication mechanisms, encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security audits. Compliance with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) in Europe, is also a significant aspect of information protection.
