Individuierung is a term originating from philosophy and psychology, most notably associated with the work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung. It describes the process of psychological development where an individual integrates their conscious and unconscious aspects to become a more complete and distinct self. This process involves differentiating oneself from the collective unconscious and societal norms while also recognizing and incorporating one's unique potentials and archetypes.
