Imraguen
The Imraguen are a Berber ethnic group indigenous to the coast of Mauritania. They are traditionally a semi-nomadic people whose livelihoods have historically been closely tied to the sea, particularly to fishing. Their name is often translated as "the fishermen." The Imraguen are known for their unique symbiotic relationship with dolphins, which they have cultivated over centuries. They use specific calls to summon the dolphins, who then help herd fish towards the Imraguen's nets. This practice is a significant cultural and economic aspect of their identity.
The Imraguen inhabit a stretch of the Mauritanian coastline, notably around the Banc d'Arguin National Park,
