Imperfectief
Imperfectief, or imperfective, is a grammatical aspect that presents an action as ongoing, repeated, or not completed, without signaling its endpoint. It is contrasted with the perfectief (perfective) aspect, which treats the action as a bounded whole or completed. The distinction is common in many language families, though its formal realization varies.
