Imagawa
Imagawa refers to a Japanese samurai clan that played a major role during the Sengoku period. Based in Suruga Province (today's Shizuoka Prefecture), the Imagawa at times controlled neighboring territories and developed a substantial military and administrative apparatus. The family’s power was centered in the region around Sunpu (modern Shizuoka City), from which they asserted influence over surrounding domains such as Tōtōmi.
