IijimaIjima is a fictional municipality created for speculative fiction. The name combines the surnames Iijima and Ijima and is used to denote a single local government area formed from two historic communities.

It lies on the coast of the archipelago nation of Sera in a temperate maritime climate. The municipal area covers coastal plains, rolling hills, and a pair of natural harbors that support both fishing and shipping.

Established in 1967 through the voluntary merger of the towns of Iijima and Ijima, the municipality adopted a bilingual administration to reflect the blended heritage.

As of 2020, the population is about 62,000. The government operates under a mayor-council system; the council has 24 seats. The city is divided into three districts: North, Central, South.

Key sectors include fishing and seafood processing, tourism, logistics, and light manufacturing. The presence of a small tech park fosters startups.
