Ignorar

Ignorar is a verb used in Spanish and Portuguese with the sense of paying no attention to something, or of deliberately not acknowledging or recognizing it. In both languages it is transitive: one ignores someone or something (ignorar a alguien or ignorar una noticia in Spanish; ignorar alguém or ignorar uma notícia in Portuguese).
