Idanre

Idanre is a town in Ondo State, southwestern Nigeria. It serves as the administrative center of Idanre Local Government Area and sits in the Idanre Hills region, a landscape that defines much of the area’s identity.

The town is best known for the Idanre Hills, a striking group of granite hills and monoliths that rise abruptly from the surrounding plains. A historic settlement, commonly referred to as Idanre Old Town, sits on the hills at mid elevations and has long been a site of local culture, traditional worship, and community life.
