IL13R1

IL13R1, also known as the interleukin-13 receptor alpha 1, is a protein that plays a crucial role in the immune system. It is a member of the interleukin-13 receptor family, which includes IL13R2 and IL4R. IL13R1 is encoded by the IL13RA1 gene on chromosome 5q31.1. The protein is composed of 295 amino acids and has a molecular weight of approximately 33 kDa.

IL13R1 forms a heterodimer with IL4R, which is necessary for the binding and signaling of interleukin-13 (IL-13). IL-13 is a cytokine that is involved in the regulation of various immune and inflammatory responses.
