Höyläämisen

Höyläämisen is a Finnish term referring to the process of planing wood. Planing is a woodworking operation that cuts away material from a wood surface to produce a flat, smooth, and uniform surface. This is typically achieved using a hand plane or a power planer.

Hand planing involves using a tool called a plane, which consists of a blade set in a body. The operator pushes the plane along the wood surface, allowing the blade to shave off thin layers of wood.
