Hólmsá

Hólmsá is a river located in southern Iceland, specifically in the Vestur-Skaftafellssýsla region. It flows from the edge of the Mýrdalsjökull glacier, one of the largest ice caps in Iceland. The river's course is relatively short, originating in the highlands and generally flowing towards the south coast.

The landscape through which Hólmsá travels is characterized by glacial moraines, volcanic ash deposits, and sparse vegetation, typical of the subarctic environment of Iceland.
