Hyväntekeväisyyskeräykset, or charitable fundraising, refer to activities conducted by nonprofit organisations, community groups, or individuals in order to gather financial resources for causes such as disaster relief, health research, education, poverty alleviation or cultural projects. The term is commonly used in Finland and encompasses a wide range of methods including online donations, sponsorship events, charity runs, auctions, and crowdfunding platforms.

In Finland, charitable organisations are typically registered as associations or foundations under the Foundations Act or the Association Act. To conduct a fundraising campaign, these entities must comply with the Finnish Act on the Regulation of Charitable and Other Voluntary Organisations, which sets guidelines on transparency, accounting and the use of collected funds. Registrants are required to provide an annual financial report and may be subject to audits if their revenue exceeds certain thresholds.
