Hyaluronidaasilla

Hyaluronidaasilla refers to hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in connective tissues, skin, and synovial fluid. Hyaluronidase's primary function is to depolymerize hyaluronic acid, reducing its viscosity and allowing it to be more easily absorbed by surrounding tissues.

In medicine, hyaluronidase is used as an adjuvant to increase the dispersion and absorption of injected substances. It is commonly used in ophthalmology to facilitate the diffusion of local anesthetics, and in subcutaneous fluid administration to promote rehydration. It also finds application in some cosmetic procedures to enhance the spread of fillers and other injectable treatments. In some cases, hyaluronidase is used to dissolve hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers that have been over-injected or are causing complications.

The enzyme is produced by various organisms, including humans, animals, and bacteria. Different forms of hyaluronidase exist, with varying properties and applications. Research continues into the therapeutic potential of hyaluronidase beyond its current uses, exploring its role in drug delivery, wound healing, and inflammatory conditions. Side effects associated with hyaluronidase administration are generally mild and can include local swelling, redness, or pain at the injection site. Allergic reactions are rare but possible.
