Hurào
Hurào is a traditional Filipino sweet made primarily from grated cassava, coconut milk, and sugar. The mixture is cooked slowly over low heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching, until it thickens into a sticky, translucent mass. Often, it is flavored with vanilla or pandan extract for added aroma. Some variations may include other ingredients like calamansi zest for a hint of citrus or small pieces of jackfruit.
The consistency of hurào can vary depending on the cooking time and the amount of liquid used.
