Humoraliaceae

Humoraliaceae is a family of fungi that belongs to the order Hypocreales. This family is characterized by its generally brightly colored, often brightly orange or red, perithecia, which are flask-shaped fruiting bodies. These perithecia are typically superficial or embedded in a stroma, which can be cushion-shaped or pulvinate. The asci within the perithecia are usually cylindrical, and the ascospores are often elongated, hyaline, and septate.

Members of Humoraliaceae are commonly found on decaying wood, plant debris, and sometimes on insect remains. They are distributed worldwide, particularly in tropical and subtropical regions. Some species are known for their bright coloration, which can make them conspicuous in their habitats.
