Huddled
Huddled is a term used to describe a gathering of people or animals in close proximity. This physical closeness is often adopted for warmth, comfort, or protection from the elements. For example, during cold weather, people might huddle together for shared body heat. Animals, such as penguins or sheep, will frequently huddle in groups to conserve warmth and deter predators. The act of huddling can also signify a sense of unity or shared purpose, even if not strictly for physical warmth. It implies a collective response to a common situation, whether it be environmental, social, or emotional. The word can be used both literally, to describe the physical act, and figuratively, to convey a sense of solidarity.
