Houndoom

Houndoom is a Fire and Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is known as the Dark Pokémon. This quadrupedal Pokémon resembles a black dog with a lean, muscular build. Its body is adorned with a fiery mane and a tail that emits flames. Houndoom's horns are a dark, reddish-brown, and its eyes glow with an ominous red light.

Houndoom are often found in packs, hunting their prey with coordinated attacks. They possess a potent toxin in their bodies that is released through their flames, which are said to burn with an inferno hotter than any natural fire. This toxin is also believed to cause fatigue and despair in those who inhale it. The intensity of the flames emanating from its body is said to reflect its own health and vigor.

Despite its fearsome appearance and abilities, Houndoom can be loyal companions to trainers who earn its trust. It evolves from Houndour starting at level 24. Houndoom has a strong sense of territory and is fiercely protective of its pack and its home. Its Dark-typing gives it an advantage against Psychic and Ghost-type Pokémon, while its Fire-typing makes it effective against Grass, Ice, Bug, and Steel-type Pokémon. However, it is vulnerable to Water, Ground, Rock, and Fighting-type attacks.
