HluhluweImfolozi
Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Park, located in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is the union of the Hluhluwe and iMfolozi (Imfolozi) game reserves. It is widely regarded as Africa’s oldest proclaimed nature reserve. The two reserves were established during the 19th and early 20th centuries and later merged into a single protected area that covers about 960 square kilometres. The landscape comprises savannah, woodlands, and wetlands, with rivers and hills forming a varied environment that supports diverse wildlife.
