Hljóðmælar

Hljóðmælar is the Icelandic term for sound level meters. These are electronic devices used to measure the intensity of sound, typically expressed in decibels (dB). The primary function of a hljóðmæli is to quantify the ambient sound pressure level at a specific point in time and location.

Hljóðmælar are essential tools in various fields, including acoustics, environmental monitoring, occupational safety, and audio engineering.
