Hjólatappa
Hjólatappa refers to a bicycle pedal. It is the component of a bicycle that the rider's foot pushes against to propel the bicycle forward. Typically, hjólatappa are made of metal or plastic and are attached to crank arms, which in turn are connected to the bicycle's bottom bracket and drivetrain. The surface of a hjólatappa is often textured or features small studs to provide grip for the rider's shoe.
