Hissiyat
Hissiyat is a Turkish term meaning an emotional or sensory feeling, often interpreted as a deep sense of inner sensitivity that is felt rather than consciously experienced. Literally the word derives from the root hiss‑ (to feel) and the suffix ‑iyat, which indicates a state or condition, thus pointing to a contiguous or continuous emotional state. In everyday language, people may refer to a hissiyat to describe a vague sense of unease, comfort, or restlessness that cannot be expressed in precise words. It is commonly used when people cannot better explain an experience, for example, saying “Böyle bir hissiyatım var” (I have this kind of feeling).
