Hikuptah
Hikuptah is the ancient Egyptian name for the city known to later generations as Memphis. The name translates roughly as “the house of the ka of Ptah” or “the place of Ptah’s ka,” reflecting the city’s central religious role as the cult center of Ptah, the creator god and patron of craftsmen.
