Hiilikuitulangat

Hiilikuitulangat, also known as carbon fiber yarns, are continuous filaments made from carbon atoms arranged in a crystal structure. These fibers are produced through a complex process involving the pyrolysis of organic precursor materials, most commonly polyacrylonitrile (PAN). During pyrolysis, the precursor material is heated in the absence of oxygen, causing it to decompose and form long, stable carbon chains.

The resulting carbon fibers are exceptionally strong and stiff relative to their weight, making them highly desirable in various advanced applications. Their high tensile strength means they can withstand significant pulling forces without breaking. Their high Young's modulus indicates a high resistance to elastic deformation, meaning they are very rigid. Carbon fibers also exhibit excellent thermal and chemical stability, resisting degradation from heat and corrosive substances.

These properties make hiilikuitulangat ideal for reinforcing composite materials, such as carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs). In these composites, the carbon fibers are embedded within a polymer matrix. The combined material possesses superior mechanical properties compared to the individual components.
