Herapath
Herapath is a surname of English origin. It is most closely associated with John Herapath (c. 1790–1868), a 19th-century English physicist whose work touched on the foundations of the kinetic theory of gases. In his writings, Herapath argued that heat results from molecular motion and that gases consist of moving particles whose interactions account for observed properties such as pressure and diffusion.
