Heraclian

Heraclian is a term used to refer to anything relating to the Byzantine Emperor Heraclius, who reigned from 610 to 641 AD. This period in Byzantine history is often characterized by significant military campaigns, administrative reforms, and religious developments. The Heraclian dynasty, which he founded, ruled the Byzantine Empire for several generations.

One of the most defining aspects of the Heraclian era was the prolonged and ultimately successful war against the Sasanian Empire, culminating in the Byzantine reconquest of territories lost in the early stages of the conflict. Heraclius himself led many of these campaigns, demonstrating considerable military prowess.
