Haole
Haole is a Hawaiian term that has evolved in meaning over time. Originally, it may have referred to foreigners or outsiders, possibly those who were not Polynesian. Early usage might have been neutral, simply denoting someone from another place. However, the term's connotation has shifted and can now be considered derogatory or condescending by some, particularly when used by native Hawaiians or long-time residents toward Caucasians or other non-local people, especially those perceived as ignorant or insensitive to Hawaiian culture.
The term is often used to describe a person who is unfamiliar with or disregards local customs
