Hamaland
Hamaland is a historical region in the Duchy of Guelders, located in the eastern part of the present-day Netherlands, primarily in the province of Gelderland. Its name is derived from the Germanic tribe of the Chatti, who inhabited the area in antiquity. Hamaland was one of the four cantons that constituted the Duchy of Guelders, alongside Veluwe, Betuwe, and the county of Zutphen.
