Halftransparency, also known as translucency, is an optical property of a material where light can pass through, but not with perfect clarity. Unlike transparent materials that allow light to pass through unimpeded, and opaque materials that block light entirely, translucent materials scatter light as it travels through them. This scattering effect means that objects viewed through a translucent material will appear blurry or indistinct.
