HLAösszeférhetőség, or HLA compatibility, refers to the ability of different software components or systems to interoperate within a High-Level Architecture (HLA) environment. HLA is a standard for distributed simulation, enabling multiple simulations to interact and share data as if they were a single, larger simulation. Achieving HLA compatibility ensures that these diverse components can communicate effectively using the HLA's defined interfaces and protocols.

Compatibility is crucial for building complex, distributed simulations. Without it, simulations developed by different organizations or using different tools might be unable to exchange information, leading to isolated and ineffective systems. HLA compatibility is typically achieved by adhering to the IEEE 1516 standards, which define the HLA Interface Specification and the HLA Object Model Template (OMT).

The HLA Federation Object Model (FOM) plays a central role in ensuring compatibility. The FOM describes the data types, classes, and interactions that can be exchanged within a simulation federation. Components must implement the FOM accurately to understand and process the data sent by other components. Tools and services exist to help developers verify and achieve HLA compatibility, ensuring that their simulation components can successfully join and participate in an HLA federation. This allows for the creation of large-scale, interoperable simulation systems across various domains, including defense, aerospace, and training.
