HKT48

HKT48 is a Japanese idol girl group produced by Yasushi Akimoto. It is the fourth group in the AKB48 franchise, following AKB48, SKE48, and NMB48. The group is based in Hakata, Fukuoka, and their theater is located in the Canal City Hakata entertainment complex. HKT48 was formed in 2008 and made their debut with the single "Sakura, Minna de Itta ka na" in 2011.

The group's concept emphasizes the regional identity of Fukuoka.
