The hexadecimal color code, often used in web design and CSS, represents colors as a six-digit alphanumeric string preceded by a hash symbol (#). Each pair of digits corresponds to the intensity of red, green, and blue, respectively, with values ranging from 00 to FF (equivalent to 0 to 255 in decimal). For example, #FF0000 represents pure red.

The RGB color model defines colors by specifying the intensity of red, green, and blue light. Each component is typically represented by an integer value from 0 to 255. So, red in RGB would be (255, 0, 0). This model is additive, meaning that combining equal amounts of red, green, and blue light at full intensity produces white.

The HSL color model offers a more intuitive way to describe colors. Hue represents the pure color (e.g., red, yellow, blue) and is often measured in degrees on a color wheel (0-360). Saturation refers to the intensity or purity of the color, ranging from 0% (grayscale) to 100% (vivid color). Lightness indicates how light or dark the color is, from 0% (black) to 100% (white). For instance, a bright red might be represented as HSL(0, 100%, 50%).
