Hüperbaariline

hüperbaariline is a term relating to hyperbaric oxygen therapy, often abbreviated as HBOT. This medical treatment involves a patient breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber. The chamber increases the atmospheric pressure around the patient, typically to two to three times the normal atmospheric pressure. This elevated pressure allows the lungs to gather much more oxygen than would be possible at normal air pressure.

When the blood is fully saturated with oxygen, the excess oxygen is then dissolved into the body's fluids, including the plasma. This increased oxygen concentration helps to combat infections and promotes healing. The elevated pressure also helps to reduce swelling and pain.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used to treat a variety of conditions. These include decompression sickness, also known as the bends, which can affect divers. It is also used for carbon monoxide poisoning, certain non-healing wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, and some infections. The therapy is administered under medical supervision and the duration and frequency of treatment depend on the patient's condition. While generally considered safe, potential side effects can occur, such as ear pain, sinus pain, and changes in vision.
