Görcsgátlás

Görcsgátlás, often translated as antispasmodic or spasmolytic, refers to the inhibition or relief of muscle spasms. Muscle spasms are involuntary and painful contractions of muscles that can occur in various parts of the body, including the smooth muscles of internal organs and the skeletal muscles of the limbs. These spasms can be caused by a range of factors such as dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, fatigue, nerve compression, or underlying medical conditions.

Antispasmodic agents are substances or treatments that aim to reduce or prevent these spasms. In the context of smooth muscle spasms, which affect organs like the intestines, bladder, or uterus, antispasmodics work by relaxing the muscle fibers.
