Healthcare professionals monitor patients for signs and symptoms of ADRs, and patients are encouraged to report any unusual or concerning changes they experience while taking medication. Treatment for drug reactions depends on the specific reaction and may involve discontinuing the offending drug, administering supportive care, or using medications to counteract the adverse effects. Prevention strategies include careful prescribing, patient education, and pharmacovigilance, which is the ongoing monitoring of drug safety after they have been approved and are in use.
