Gyémántpaszták

Gyémántpaszták, often translated as diamond pastes, are abrasive compounds containing precisely graded diamond particles suspended in a carrier lubricant. These pastes are primarily used for polishing and lapping various hard materials, including metals, ceramics, gemstones, and carbides. The exceptional hardness of diamond makes these pastes highly effective for achieving ultra-fine surface finishes and precise dimensional control.

The effectiveness of a diamond paste depends on several factors: the size and distribution of the diamond particles, the concentration of diamond within the paste, and the type of carrier lubricant used. Particle sizes are typically measured in micrometers (µm), ranging from coarse grits for initial material removal to extremely fine grits for mirror-like finishes. Common carrier lubricants include oil-based, water-based, or alcohol-based formulations, chosen based on compatibility with the material being polished and the desired application method.

Diamond pastes are applied using a variety of methods, such as direct application to a polishing pad, a felt bob, or a diamond-impregnated wheel.
