Gunwinyguans
Gunwinyguans is a proposed taxonomic classification for a group of monitor lizards. The term Gunwinyguans was introduced by the paleontologist John S. Buckeridge in 1978 to describe a clade of extinct monitor lizards from the Oligocene epoch of Australia. These lizards are known from fossil remains found in the Naracoorte Caves in South Australia.
