Groundcontrolled is an adjective describing devices or systems that are operated from a ground-based operator or control system rather than autonomously or via onboard control. The concept is widely used in aviation, spaceflight, robotics, and related fields, where a ground control station serves as the human-in-the-loop interface for commanding, monitoring, and adjusting operations.

In unmanned aviation, groundcontrolled flight refers to remotely piloted or partially piloted aircraft that receive flight directives from a ground control station (GCS). Operators at the GCS transmit control inputs and mission plans, while the aircraft or drone streams telemetry and, in many cases, live video back to the operators. Mission control and air traffic control exemplify this model, enabling centralized supervision of ongoing operations and contingency management.
