Grayga was first described by prospectors in the outer belt regions during the mid-22nd century. It forms in hydrothermal vein systems within basaltic rock and is considered rare. Prominent deposits are depicted in the Sialon arc and on the companion world Neral-4, where mining operations are described as technically challenging due to depth and confinement.
