Gobiosuchids
Gobiosuchids are an extinct family of small, predatory crocodylomorphs that lived during the Late Cretaceous period. They are known from fossils found in the Gobi Desert region of Mongolia and China. Gobiosuchids are characterized by their relatively small size, often no longer than a meter, and their specialized skull morphology. Their snouts were typically long and narrow, and they possessed a unique arrangement of teeth that suggests a diet of small vertebrates and invertebrates.
The phylogenetic placement of gobiosuchids within crocodylomorphs has been a subject of debate. However, current research
