Challenges involve glycosylation heterogeneity, which can cause batch-to-batch variability and affect efficacy or safety. Characterization requires glycomics and glycoproteomics approaches, using mass spectrometry, chromatography, and lectin-based assays. Regulatory considerations emphasize consistent glycosylation profiles, thorough analytical validation, and robust manufacturing controls to ensure product quality.
