Glader

Glader refers to a group of fictional characters and inhabitants of a specific environment within the "Maze Runner" series of young adult novels by James Dashner, and subsequent film adaptations. The Glade is a central location in the first book and film, serving as a refuge and living space for a group of teenage boys. These boys, known as Gladers, have no memory of their past lives and are tasked with surviving within a dangerous, constantly shifting maze.

The primary objective of the Gladers is to find a way out of the Maze. They organize themselves into a functional society within the Glade, with different roles and responsibilities. Key figures often include a leader, a second-in-command, and specialized groups like the Runners, who venture into the Maze daily to map its paths and search for exits. The Gladers face constant threats from monstrous creatures called Grievers that inhabit the Maze and emerge at night. Their survival depends on cooperation, courage, and problem-solving. The Glade itself is a rectangular area enclosed by massive, concrete walls that change configuration every night. The Gladers' existence is orchestrated by a mysterious organization known only as WICKED, which is implied to be conducting an experiment.
