Giebichenstein

Giebichenstein refers to Burg Giebichenstein, a historic fortress on the Giebichenstein hill overlooking the river Saale near Halle (Saale) in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The site has long served as a strategic defensive position for controlling the Saale crossing and protecting the town.
