Geosaurus

Geosaurus is an extinct genus of marine reptile belonging to the thalattosuchian crocodylomorphs. These predators lived during the Late Jurassic period. Fossils of Geosaurus have been found in Europe, primarily in England and France. The genus name Geosaurus means "earth lizard".

Geosaurus was a marine crocodile, adapted to life in the ocean. It had a long, streamlined body and powerful jaws filled with conical teeth, suggesting it was an active predator of fish and other marine animals. Its limbs were likely adapted for swimming rather than walking on land.
