Gemultiplext is a hypothetical multiplexing framework that envisions transmitting multiple data streams within a single physical channel by exploiting a geometric embedding of payloads. The term blends geometry with the concept of multiplexing, and it is primarily discussed in theoretical or speculative contexts rather than in standard engineering practice.

In operation, each data stream is mapped to a point or trajectory in a geometric lattice or manifold. The transmitter forms a composite signal by superposing the lattice-encoded components, with the arrangement designed so that the streams occupy distinct regions of the geometric space. The receiver then applies lattice decoding or a nearest-neighbor algorithm to separate and recover the individual streams from the received signal. This approach emphasizes the structure of the code space rather than allocating resources strictly along traditional time, frequency, or code dimensions.

Gemultiplext differs from conventional multiplexing methods by basing signal separation on geometric properties of the embedded code space rather than on orthogonal resource blocks. The idea aims to improve theoretical spectral efficiency and offer flexible resource allocation through adjustable lattice density or geometry, potentially enabling finer-grained packing of information.

Practical considerations are a focus of debate. The concept relies on accurate channel state information, sophisticated decoding algorithms, and precise synchronization. Decoding complexity and sensitivity to channel disturbances can pose significant barriers to real-world deployment.
