Gaumukh
Gaumukh is a Hindu pilgrimage site located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,892 meters (12,770 feet) above sea level in the Garhwal Himalayas. The name "Gaumukh" translates to "Cow's Mouth" in Hindi, and it refers to the glacial snout of the Gangotri Glacier. This is the primary source of the Bhagirathi River, which is one of the main tributaries of the Ganges River.
