Gatewayadres
Gatewayadres, commonly translated as gateway address, is the IP address of the device that serves as the access point to other networks on a local network. In English terminology, this is often called the default gateway. The gatewayadres is the destination to which devices send traffic destined for networks outside their own subnet. In Dutch networking terminology, it is the address of the router or firewall that connects the local network to greater networks, including the Internet.
