Gasfronten
Gasfronten is a term used to describe a moving boundary between two gaseous regions with different properties, such as chemical composition, temperature, or density. In fluid dynamics this interface can be viewed as a front that separates distinct states of the flow. If the two sides share the same pressure and velocity but differ in density or composition, the front is often treated as a contact discontinuity. If the interface is associated with a pressure jump, it can behave like a shock front. In reactive flows, the front may correspond to a flame or reaction zone where chemical transformations release heat and create sharp gradients in temperature and species concentrations.
